Application of multislice spiral CT angiography on transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Multislice spiral CT angiography (MSCTA) is very important in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases. Currently, most studies on three-dimensional MSCTA of the liver vascular system focus on the liver tumors, preoperative assessment of liver transplantation and the systematic anatomy of the liver vascular system. Abstract Background: Renal transplantation (RT) is the transplantation of a kidney into a patient with end-stage renal disease and has become the treatment of choice for most patients with end-stage renal disease. The knowledge of renal vascular variations is of a great importance for the surgeons who approach the kidneys from the retroperitoneal o...
متن کاملLeft main renal artery entrapment by diaphragmatic crura: spiral CT angiography
Entrapment of renal artery by the diaphragmatic crus is a rare cause of renal artery stenosis. Spiral computed tomography angiography provides a definitive diagnosis and shows the precise relationship of the artery to the diaphragmatic crus. The authors present a case of hypertension developing in a young 20-year-old female due to entrapment of the left renal artery by the diaphragmatic crus. T...
متن کاملCT angiography of peripheral arterial disease.
Lower-extremity computed tomographic (CT) angiography (ie, peripheral CT angiography) is increasingly used to evaluate patients with peripheral arterial disease. It is therefore increasingly important for all vascular specialists to become familiar with the strengths and limitations of this new technique. The aims of this review are to explain the principles of scanning and injection technique ...
متن کاملCarotid-cavernous fistulas: diagnosis with spiral CT angiography.
Four cases in which the diagnosis of carotid-cavernous fistula was made by using CT angiography are illustrated. The diagnosis was confirmed by digital subtraction angiography in all four instances. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the CT angiographic appearance of carotid-cavernous fistulas.
